The climate of Santorini is affected by its location and its volcanic nature. Santorini weather is almost always fair, with pleasant temperatures throughout the year. The weather in Santorini in summer is hot and dry, spring and autumn temperatures are perfect, while winter Santorini weather is mild.
Since the average summer temperature in Santorini is hot during the day, it is a good idea to have a strong sun-block with you, to apply often if you are sightseeing or lying on the beach. The temperature in the evenings can be cool, so we suggest carrying a light jacket with you. Spring, autumn and winter weather, although pleasant and temperate, does call for warmer clothes, such as a light sweater and a jacket.
